Neil Gaiman, Kaja and Phil Foglio Awarded Hugos at 2009 Worldcon
The Hugo Awards were presented at the Hugo Award Ceremony on August 9th, 2009 at the the 67th Worldcon, held this year in in Montreal, Québec.
Neil Gaiman was awarded the Hugo Award for Best Novel for The Graveyard Book (9780060530921, $17.99), published by HarperCollins.
Winning for Best Graphic Story was Kaja and Phil Foglio's Girl Genius Volume 8: Agatha Heterodyne and the Chapel of Bones (ISBN: 9781890856472), published by Airship Entertainment.
Named in honor of Hugo Gernsback, founder of the pioneering science fiction magazine Amazing Stories, the Hugos are handed out to the creators of the year's best science fiction and fantasy works.
