Bestselling authors Janet Evanovich (Metro Girl) and Jane Yolen (The Devil’s Arithmetic) will both bring their unique voices to upcoming Dark Horse Comics projects.

As reported in the New York Times, Evanovich, author of the bestselling Stephanie Plum bounty hunter series (One for the Money) and more recent young adult series Metro Girl, is creating a graphic novel with her daughter Alex, which will feature characters from Metro Girl and Motor Mouth, including NASCAR mechanic Alexandra Barnaby and racecar driver Sam Hooker, and is expected for release in 2010.

Yolen, the award-winning fiction and fantasy writer who has been called “the Hans Christian Andersen of America”, will create an original graphic novel with fantasy artist Rebecca Guay called The Last Dragon. Written for young adults, The Last Dragon will feature magic, dragon-fighting adventure and heroic deeds. This graphic novel is scheduled for release in 2010. More information is available here.
