2009 Glyph Award Winners Announced
The organizers of the fourth annual Glyph Awards, designed to honor creators of color, and to recognize and promote diversity in comics and graphic novels, have announced the winners for 2009.
The winners were announced during the East Coast Black Age of Comics Convention (ECBACC) which took place on May 16 in Philadelphia, PA. This year’s judges included Valerie D’Orazio, President of Friends of Lulu; Mathan Erhardt, Writer for Comics Nexus; Ed Mathews, Columnist for Pop Image; Tim O’Shea, Writer for TalkingWithTim.com; and Comics Reviewer and Commentator Elayne Riggs.
