Simon Pegg Hangs with The Boys

On October 5, during Amazon’s New York Comic Con panel for its series adaptation of Dynamite Entertainment’s The Boys, attendees were treated to a surprise visit by actor Simon Pegg, and the equally surprising announcement that he would join the cast as the father of Wee Hughie — the character he inspired in the original comic.

In the eight-episode Amazon Prime series, Wee Hughie will be played by Jack Quaid, but Pegg was the model for the character written by Garth Ennis and drawn by Darick Robertson.

Quaid & Pegg’s “family photo” was shown to the crowd, along with a new trailer.
