Max Brooks' Harlem Hellfighters Gets TV Adaptation

The History Channel has announced their plans for a tv adaptation of the best-selling graphic novel by Max Brooks, The Harlem Hellfighters. Based on true story of an African American infantry division who fought in Europe during World War I, the series will be produced by actor Will Smith and his Overbrook Entertainment production company. Along with Smith and his company, the project will utilize Immersive's Josh Bratman and the author of the original graphic novel, Max Brooks.

Written by Jeremy Passmore and Andre Fabrizio, the tv adaptation will be a six-hour series that finds the 369th unit breaking down racial barriers, spending more time in combat than any other American unit and never losing ground to the enemy. Currently, a trailer for the series has not been released.
