The little girl from the berry patch returns to comics for the first time in 25 years with Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Fun (978-1-937676-14-8, $14.99), an all ages graphic novel from Ape Entertainment.
Strawberry Shortcake and her friends are having all-new adventures in Berry Bitty City! Strawberry's solution to a tropical dilemma convinces her friends that she's taking a trip to Luau Island, but in the middle of all of the excitement, the residents of Berry Bitty City forget to check their facts before they bid farewell! The adventures continue when Katie and Sadie Bug hear about a local legend famous for his honesty, and think telling the painful truth will earn them celebrity status. When feelings get hurt, Strawberry Shortcake must stop the devious duo before berry best friends turn into bitter enemies. Then, the storm of the century heads straight for Berry Bitty City, and Strawberry Shortcake must try to help her friends and save her café in time! Finally, Berry Bitty City is celebrating this year's Founder's Day with a theatrical extravaganza directed by Strawberry Shortcake, but when Plum Pudding threatens to overshadow the cast, Strawberry must pull the show together before opening night!
Berry Fun features writing by Georgia Ball and art by Amy Mebberson (The Muppets) and Tanya Roberts (Star Wars: Clone Wars), and collects the first four issues of the Ape Entertainment series.
Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Fun is scheduled for June release and is suggested for all ages (6+) readers.
